All our AcalaQuell jug filters work with the same system consisting of the optional limescale pad, a micro-sponge and the jug filter cartridge.
These filter the tap water using Acala’s own ReNaWa technology.
The result is vibrant drinking water for every situation, which is free from contaminants and rich in minerals.
The filtration process is as follows:
First, the tap water that is filled in seeps through the micro-sponge, the so-called pre-filter.
The AcalaQuell® micro-sponge does not allow dust, rust or suspended particles to pass through. With a pore size of just 1 µm*, it only allows pure water to pass through. As a result, the filter cartridge of the AcalaQuell® jug remains unaffected by impurities such as dust, rust and deposits that may be present in tap water. In this way, your cartridge guarantees optimum performance over its entire service life.
The pre-filtered water then passes through the filter cartridge.
The filter cartridge of the AcalaQuell® water filter incorporates the innovative Pi technology***, which is part of the advanced ReNaWa® technology technology. This combination of decades of research and practical experience enables natural and effective water treatment.
As soon as the water flows through the various filter stages, it acquires a clear and refreshing taste reminiscent of sparkling spring water. This makes drinking it a special experience. In a single process, the water is thoroughly purified and returns to its original structure.
Step 1
An ion exchanger effectively reduces limescale, nitrate and heavy metals to improve water quality.
Step 2
High-performance activated carbon with an impressive iodine value of 1200 reliably removes pollutants such as pesticides, heavy metals and drug residues.
Step 3
ReNaWa mineralization transforms your water into refreshing spring water using advanced materials such as ceramic-fired tourmaline, calcium, Magic Ball, high-quality magnesium, magnets, EM ceramics (Effective Microorganisms) and quartz sand.

If you would like additional limescale reduction, please also order the limescale pads in the replacement filter jugs category.
(Tip: We recommend using a limescale filter from 15°dH (water hardness). If you are not sure, please call our customer service and we will help you further).
How often should the filter components be replaced?
We recommend replacing the filter cartridge every 2 months.
The micro sponge should be replaced every 6 months. (Earlier if the water is heavily soiled)
The limescale filter pads should be replaced approx. 2 – 6 weeks, depending on the limescale content of the water.

On the jug is the “Flower of life” is printed on the jug.
The plastics we use are free from solvents and plasticizers such as
for example Bisphenol A (BPA) and Bisphenol B (BPB)
*A micrometer (outdated also micron, or My after the Greek letter µ)abbreviated µm, corresponds to a millionth of a meter: 1 µm = 10-6 m
** The iodine value is defined as the amount of iodine in mg that is adsorbed by 1.0 g of activated carbon.
This value is used to evaluate the performance of an activated carbon; activated carbon with an iodine value of 1200 has the highest possible quality and is a high-performance activated carbon.
